Whizz-kidz 2022 TCS London Marathon

Dani and I on the course of the 2021 TCS London Marathon.

I am absolutely thrilled to announce I will be running the 2022 London Marathon for team Whizz-kidz.

After witnessing how special this race was, when Dani ran it in 2021, I immediately knew I wanted to do it myself. I couldn’t be more excited to achieve this goal in partnership with a charity with such a noble mission. Whizz-kidz is a UK charity whose mission is to empower young wheelchair users by providing the wheelchairs, equipment, support and confidence-building experiences they need, and campaigning for a more inclusive society

Sponsor a Mile

To start off the fundraising efforts, I am offering the opportunity to sponsor a mile of the marathon. With a minimum donation of £26.20 (€32 or $35USD), you can pick a mile of the race to sponsor. For your mile you can either choose what song I listen to, dedicate it to a family member of your choice or ask for a special photo or video during that mile.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yep! I have never attempted a marathon before. I have completed ten official half marathons. This will be my first (and probably my last, if I’m being honest) 26.2 mile race. So I hope that you can help me make it absolutely epic!

  • Though I don’t have any personal connection with young persons in wheelchairs, the charity’s mission is something I feel is very important. Inclusivity in society is an incredibly important topic. Helping young people participate in society in a more inclusive way is something I hope we can all stand behind.

  • The minimum goal for this event is £2100. However, I’m hoping together we can smash that goal and raise even more.

  • I plan on following a training plan that has worked well for me in the past. The Run-Walk-Run method by Jeff Galloway. You can follow my training activities and progress on my Strava Profile.
